Lite and the standard build share a signature, so remove the old app before installing this one.
Tap the downloaded .apk, choose Install, then log in and turn on the settings you want.

Mostly weight, not features. The bundled theme library and font packs are downloaded on demand instead of shipping inside the file, and heavy interface animations are turned off. Ghost mode, downloads, app lock and the ad-free feed all stay.
No. Both use the same package signature, so Android will refuse the second install. Uninstall one before installing the other — your account and chats stay on the server either way.
Anything with 2–3 GB of RAM, low free storage, or a phone released more than four years ago. If the full build stutters while scrolling reels, Lite will fix that.
Your messages and account are untouched since they live on the server. Local settings such as your theme and font choice reset, so you'll set those once after signing in.
It follows the same release cycle, usually a few days behind. Security and compatibility fixes go into both builds at the same time.
